You need to go look up Chara's stats . Even in Ottawa where he went next he was shaky at times . He really did not come into his own till he got to Boston . Players of their statures take longer . But once they do it is worth the wait .

Matthew Coller basically blamed the Sabres failures on Myers saying "They expected him to drive the bus, he's not a bus driver"

So when Chara struggled when the Bruins were bad his first year, must just of been his fault, or Keith's fault that his first years before Toews and Kane.

Personally, I don't think Murray believes in him. And I have a weird feeling he ends up being traded this weekend, not only based on the TSN "rumors", but the one interesting tidbit in that clip was Murray saying he is taking calls on "right-handed defensemen".

I wouldn't read into that much. I have a feeling he could be traded too, but not cause he's looking to rid the Sabres of him, I think he's preparing if Ekblad falls to 2 or maybe a team has a certain player he desperately wants

I just think it's silly to say he's either gotta be Chara, or gotta be traded

agreed SB. every one wants to trade the decent players we have fo draft picks ? When do they expect us to be good ? Every draft pick is 2-5 years away from being an influence on the team. Top 5 picks will be closer but still a ways away.

To me, says that's all Murray said: that he wasn't Chara. Matthew Collar clearly made the piss poor logical conclusion that "Murray said Myers isn't Chara. Chara is a franchise defenseman. Therefore he thinks Myers isn't a franchise defenseman". I can't even begin to mention how embarrassingly poor that logic is.

You better look again , getting Penalty minutes does not make you a monster . If So we better give Kaletta a big pay raise. Myers did not spend 1 game in the AHL . Could have spent two more years in junior . Please stop.He was a secondary piece when traded from the Islanders . Not a centerpiece of a trade like Myers would be
