I just don't think we need Ekblad nearly as much as we need Reinhart, Bennett, or Draisaitl, or that he's any better than them. If there was another defenseman or 2 even close to his ability, he would probably go 3rd or 4th. Benefactor of a weak draft defensively.

It will be equally satisfying if they take Draisaitl. Only 5 or 4.

Completely possible, and if anything... Expected. Just don't think the margin between Ekblad and the other top 3 guys is existent, let alone large. Coupled with our decrepit offense, it should be obvious that we shouldn't be picking him. All my opinion, but still...
