Just wondering if y'all would feel differently if Neal went back to being lead singer of Alice in Chains.

is this a make or break year for bennett? with him being injured a lot and DB not putting him in top 6 over players like gibbons... I feel if he doesnt have a good year after he comes back, that he might be seen as a "failure" - nh4442
I thought last year was going to be his coming out party. (no pun intended). I still think he's a really talented guy but will not score more than 20 goals even when healthy. I just don't ever see him putting up big numbers but could be comparable to Jokinen with time.
I still wouldn't call him a bust after this season unless he really stinks this year. He has never gotten consistent ice time so its like hes still a rookie in some ways. |

Adrian Kempe has quickly become my favorite selection for the Pens at 22. Big, physical, fast as hell, plays a smart gritty game, really looks to fill a need for the Pens. He also is nowhere near done growing. 6'2 and 187, he looks lanky but is already playing heavy against mean in the SHL. The Pens could do a lot worse than this kid tomorrow. |

I want to see him stay healthy. He's shown signs of being a good two-way player, I would like to see him play at least 65-70 this season before assessing him fairly.
Sitting here watching NHL Live they mentioned Setoguchi being a UFA. I didn't realize he was only 27. He made $3.25m producing 27 pts (11G, 16A) in the 'peg. At the right price could be reclamation project w/ big upside. |

If he's got all this talent, is it just his attitude that's causing him to drop or is there something GM's and teams see in this kid that are making them leery to draft him? |

As long as he doesn't drop his stick and pretend to warm his hands up from it, I'm ok with a little Patrick Kane type celebrating. |

From his heroin perch in the clouds, Layne wouldn't approve. |

6 points in 5 games against Philly was actually below average. He was a minus 3, had 12 pims and was suspended for throwing elbows to players heads.
I don't care about producing against the Islanders, Flyers, and Senators, he didn't come through in the big time. - usethe1-2-2
Ok. You don't like him, and maybe he'll get moved. But you contradicted yourself. Add to that he was above a point per game player in your chosen series, while missing a game. |

He scored one third of the points you mentioned in one series, that is why I brought that up and even in that series he was crap. He got suspended and put his team in a poor position to win. I didn't contradict anything, you just didn't see the information out there.
Neal is not working and his value is very high, move him now and get the best return possible. |

He wasn't good with LA either.
Johnston's team is also, up-tempo and based on skating. In MJs own words, the defenseman with the puck has a green light to skate all the way to the opponents net unless he has options available. Does that sound like Scuderi to you? - YouMeAndDupuis9
I stand by my point, breaking out as a team helps any D man of any skill. I'm not supporting Scuderi but chances are he is in our opening night line up. |

I'll respect your opinion. Honestly, he can't be any worse haha. Hopefully laying down on the ice is a skill Johnston covets. |

Im sure the rumors will continue to fly for the next 24 hours and mostly none of them are accurate but here's another...
William DePaoli @TIOPS_DePaoli 12m
Lots of chatter in league circles Coyotes, Senators have expressed strong interest in James Neal. #Penguins
Senators have a lot of pieces I'd be interested in. Hemsky and Michalek are UFAs though. Who makes sense from them? Maybe Bobby Ryan + ??
Clarke MacArthur? Turris?
Or maybe even something involving Spezza? I dunno. |

Everyone in that series was crap. You Discredited playing against Philly, then used them as an example against him. That's my confusion. You don't trade a guy with his shot for third line guys, ever. His problems are mental, not physical or skill related. Mental can mostly be fixed and third line players can be signed easily. |

ryan - nh4442
While Ryan would be real nice, the $$$ between him and Neal are close but Neal has a much longer term. Personally, I would want something in addition to Ryan coming back. And, no, I don't know who. I don't think they'd part with Zibanejad. |

I couldn't tell you who they would send back in return. I know Bobby Ryan is up for a contract and is expecting 6mill per, so I wouldn't want him for that. Phoenix interests me a bit more.
I do beleive that if there is that much chatter, something is going on. The smoke fire element |

I doubt they would part with Hanzal but he would be awesome in a pens jersey. |

Not sure that fills a need for Vancouver though. Also, Kesler or Sutter would then be forced to play wing. |

Swap the draft picks and I'd say yes.
Neal + 22nd overall
Boedker, Hanzal, +12th overall |
