•Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: Senators GM Bryan Murray has let Jason Spezza’s agent know that it’s possible a deal doesn’t happen this weekend.

Seems like a team that doesn't want to wait on the Sens might be ripe for Vinny. Especially if they have other things that need to get done.

Your sending out a 27 year old all around dmen for a 35+ strictly offensive dman with a 7mil cap hit. How does it make you better? Long term this deal isn't good? Also Macdonld plays pecial teams so he can take minutes off Kimmo and Coburn so they aren't out ll the time. He can play PK and some PP. Campbell won't play PK so your putting more hard minutes on your top dmen

Campbell kills penalties and he faces tough competition and excels.. he's better than AMac across the board.

not this guy.
loved Danny in the play offs, not the regular season.

I actually don't have a problem keeping him.

what you have to worry about is if he gets injured again and plays 60 games and gets 15 goals.
then he might be unmoveable

If you can move him now -- and that will cost something -- then I'd do it and not look back.

I'd rather just cut my losses instead of trying to go another season of trying to force Lecavalier into a lineup that doesn't fit what he is at this point in his career

Rinaldo and a 5th plus 17th overall should get it done.

I'm not really surprised...teams are feverish for "that guy" who is a defenseman

My question:

If you're going to move BSchenn Coburn Hagg 17th overall and a 2nd in next years deep draft do you want Kane/Bogo or do you want OEL and cap room to sign a LW?

I mean that offer isnt that far off from what Nashville wanted for Weber. We dont want Kane that badly.

FWIW, Florida was dead last in PK% last year. So I'm not sure if he kills penalties well or is just the best of the worst.

I wouldn't say he excels. He has to play 26 minutes a night with there d. But i am not moving MacDonald for Campbell. We already have a puck mover in Streit. i would rather have the all-around play of Macdonald at 27 and not with a 7million ap hit. Once Kimmo moves on and is replaced by a propect then we will need the all-around play of Macdonld in the mix.

I wanted Trouba. I never said anything about Bogo/Kane.

So the problem is that you have no idea about Campbell's game. He is better defensively than MacDonald and he does kill penalties.

Might want OEL but he isn't available so he isn't in the discussion
