I know it's not NHL-related, but I know there's some Pink Floyd fans on here. There's a test press of their soundtrack for "More" up on eBay. $5000, but it's probably the only time you'll ever have a chance. - jmatchett383
i just checked it out. i know how the conversation would go back home if i explained what that was, and how much i paid for it though.

For the time period spanning Octover 7 through October 10th of this past season, Braydon Coburn was a point-per-game player. Extrapolated over a full season, that's pretty impressive. |

MacDonald and Campbell both played first pairing on bad teams and MacDonald had better teammates. So please, fill in the rest of this sentence: MacDonald had much worse Corsi numbers than Campbell because... - Feanor
You can put anything in there you want. That's the problem with Corsi. You can make a case to make it say whatever you want it to say.
The fundamental fact of Corsi is that is flawed. Because of the high percentage of false data. Unless you beleive that every shott attempted for or against, is the result of a players play on the ice, and he is responsible for every shot attempted for or against, while a player is on the ice.
WOWY's regardless of what base stat you want to use it with, has it's own flaws. |

Ignoring/dismissing the numbers (or any kind of info, for that matter) because they might undermine your assumption is actually the very definition of CB... which you tend to do more than anybody. |

Bonino is like the Kip Miller of that line... he's not going to put up 50 w/o Getz/Perry.
Sbisa is a mess. |

I think it's a fair deal for both sides. I get that Anaheim didn't have to give up any top prospect, but I also don't think Kesler is a great player. Personally, I would have been pumped getting either Bonino or Sbisa straight up for Vinny. And honestly, if I was another team's GM, I would prefer getting Vinny for 1 of those pieces than Kesler for all 3. But maybe that's just me. |

Agreed. A lot of players, especially defenseman simply throw the puck on net. Fowards throw the puck on net for a lot of different reasons. Get a faceoff, get a rebound or because they think they have a decent scoring chance. No all shots tell the whole story. |

Most of your arguments can be broken down to a basic "because I say so". They are just worded with a lot of useless vocab. |

I agree with MJL. It's not dismissing all numbers but you can always make numbers read like you want them too. It's like plus/minus. A guy can get a minus and the goalie gives up a week goal that had nothing to do with the play. It's just how you want to make the numbers look. |

Kesler's production has been going down YOY and he's getting to be banged up, so I think the Canucks made out well. |
