Lots of reports saying Sens having hard time getting what they want for Spezza. I hope maybe someone moves onto Vinny since Spezza deal seams tough - J35Bacher
The teams looking at Spezza want a 2C. |

I have a feeling the offers are nowhere near what Tallon is suggesting. He's really just trying to drive up the price. My poker reads from his interview yesterday told me that. - golfingsince
Seems logical to me. |

Supposedly his upside isn't at the level of either of those guys. JBo would be the best analog in terms of future... top-ranked, good at everything but not an offensive dynamo. - Tomahawk
The Bogo upside talk appears to have been unwarranted. He and JBo had the exact same number of points in their draft year - 61. In fact, they both scored 11 goals and 50 assists... spooky.
In Bogo's 352 NHL games he has 114 points.
In JBo's first 307 NHL games he had 124 points. |

Which he still produces points as a 1C. So that's why they're stuck. |

That's what I see happening. Both Spezza and Kesler will cost a ton. - jmatchett383
I think the advanced UFA negotiating window will really (frank) with their trade value at the draft... think the asking price for Stastny on down to Roy have been roughly established already. |

Bogo was seen to be on par with Doughty at draft time... he was considered to have expansive, Chelios-like upside. Petro was ridiculously talented but still ran third... LA wasn't even considering him at #2. |

Meltzer wants Kempe...I can get on board with that. I also wouldn't be upset if they roll the dice on DeAngelo. |

I actually thought he played well (defensively) down the stretch and in the playoffs. |

Exactly. Spezza is a 1C on about 20 NHL teams. Kesler could slot anywhere from a 1-3, but is most likely a 2-3. |

I can definitely see Hextall making a smart move tonight. Could be a deal nobody is expecting just like the Hartnell trade. - GOA88
It'd be crazy if someone like MacDonald getting moved. |

Definitely. If he can't carry that over for the entirety of next season, the Luke Richardson comparisons are going to become a whole lot more pertinent (maybe even generous). |

Nope. I'm with ya.
I mean, aside from half of the roster for Shea Weber, of course. |

Maybe he has a small case of the Coburn's where (in general) he plays much better in the playoffs...although he had some definite lapses this past postseason. |
