Its not a bad trade. Neal is overrated imo. Hornqvist can score. He's not Neal, but he's a top 6 player.
- PhillySportsGuy

Great trade for me, I won't have to watch Charlie Cheapshot as often next year.

Crosby was told Neal was traded. He said great trade, who'd we get?

Why Boo Winnipeg ?
I will be there in the fall, they mean nothing in this division
Except Buff would get banned from all you can eat buffets here if he was traded
He needs to go eat a few Permanti Brothers stacked sandwiches in the Burgh

Mine was bland when I was there- any food comment from stayinthefnet ?
I expected more flavor.

This is the poop that happens when the cap is strangling you
- AllInForFlyers

i dont buy it from a cap standpoint though. all things considered. neals deal is one of the more cap friendly deals in the league. hornqvist is less than a mill cheaper.

They needed depth. Is a downgrade from Neal, but lets wait and see. Neal is a 25 goal scorer without Malkin.

hornqvist scores 35 - 40 next year and you added depth and ditched a reported headache....good trade.

Even a million dollars matters, though, when you are looking for depth -- Spaling helps with that, though

yeah. i see neal going down to 25 goals over there too.

if anything, i am trying to view this as a somewhat lateral move. making change for the sake of change, without losing TOO much production.

anyone familiar with spaling? if heard the name before, and know he is an RFA, but im not too familiar with him.
