hornqvist scores 35 - 40 next year and you added depth and ditched a reported headache....good trade. - nails
ill admit. im largely just a wussy when it comes to change haha.
i dont think hornqvist gets 40 but he could be solid with malkin. |

yeah. i see neal going down to 25 goals over there too.
if anything, i am trying to view this as a somewhat lateral move. making change for the sake of change, without losing TOO much production.
anyone familiar with spaling? if heard the name before, and know he is an RFA, but im not too familiar with him. - stayinthefnnet
Spaling's a pure bottom 6 guy, but versatile...plays all three F positions, can score some, kills penalties |

not a whole lot. neal honestly wasnt the problem for the cap. 5 mil for the next few years for a guy who is 35 40 goals year in and year out.
saves a little under a mil with hornqvist.
then whatever spaling gets. he is an RFA. would be like the pens to just not sign him |

if he can be signed fairly cheap, that sounds solid to me. |

Would have expected at least a 3rd. No way Nashville would have swapped picks.
I think new management and coaching staff wanted to move Neal. Similar situation to what happened with Hartnell here. |

Too lazy to look, but anyone know Hornqvist/spaling fancy stats? - PhillySportsGuy
Hornqvist 51.1% CF, +3.4% CF rel, 52% ZS, 29.6% QOC
Spaling 45.3% CF, -3.2% CF rel, 50% ZS, 28.7% QOC
Hornqvist has surprisingly good numbers going back 3+ seasons. |

(frank) swapping first.
should have handcuffed scuderi to neal and said alright deal with it.
but yeah, i think they just wanted neal gone. it really is a shame he had to be such a wiener. regardless of what people say, he wasnt always like that. i dont know why he fancied himself some sort of tough guy. easy to be tough when its cheap. |
