I think van did good today so far ...not much to troll about really - Redmile247
agreed. They've changed the dressing room and got themselves some additional picks and a couple good young players. Respectable start for benning for sure.

I'm still a bit surprised by the Garrison dump. I can't help but think his cap hit was cleared for someone else to arrive. |

Happy to be out of the running for #1. Now if we can get Ehlers or Draisaitl at 6 I'll have to spin a GD Inception top.

We had too many Left-handed D that played too similarly and all made similar money with NTC. Someone had to go. |

I'm happy with all of the picks, gives them flexibility to move up if they really like a guy who falls after pick our first pick. Or just keep all of the picks and add some depth for once. We discuss and get excited about our only few decent prospects since we're not used to having more than a handful at once. |

One would think, that move makes little sense to me.....Garrison remained serviceable through a horrible "team" decline, while also playing injured.
The return was crap with the amount of teams searching for a top 4 D. |

He was in the buyout discussion so it's not a total shock. Just thought they could have gotten more for him. |

The big sticking point for a greater return was probably eating salary. TB didn't get that and thats a big deal IMO

It's been reported that his list was Florida teams or Mtl. Tough to get a good deal for those options. |

He had a full NTC, you really think a guy who took less to play here and was planning to be here during his entire contract was going to be open to moving to more than a few teams? TB was his 2nd destination of choice when he was a UFA. |

I was still hoping but I don't think Garrison was ever a part of the deal considering the $$$ on the contract.
I loved Garrison for 5% of every game. The other 95% he was ok but not worth the coin. |
