Like it, with more development he could be a really solid addition, he played center and right wing. I'd expect him to be a right wing here.

That's a good sign for a first year WHL defenseman. As crazy as it sounds, every time we draft a defenseman, I expect him to contend for the Norris winner.

It's maddening isn't it. Makes you wonder why the need for work stoppages to subsidize these teams is so important, when its obvious they wouldn't be missed if these teams dissolved anyway.

I don't want these teams to disappear as much as I want them to stop sucking the youth out of these young talents. I know they think they have gold and a chance to finally turn their franchise but the offer made to Florida by the Flyers for example, with their history, they might wanna start think about taking on these sort of packages and not get picky because they didn't get offered a certain player. Wayne Simmonds cannot turn around that franchise.

Nah, just found it interesting. A lot of teams seemed to go big, especially out West, with the Kings having just won and all. Even Detroit seemed to go big. Funny that the Flyers didn't seem to let it effect their strategy, which is good on them.

after listening to the analysis i think the sanheim pick was pretty good....someone posted that the flyers were offered 2 picks for him after he was selected and bill et. al. thought he was on the radar for many teams

The LA kings had a hell of a draft, their last three picks were all guys expected to go in the top three rounds, obviously they fell for a reason but those guys were better than six and seven round picks. Also they got Mckeown and Kempe. I would have been ecstatic had Hextall got out of the first two rounds with Sanheim AND Mckeown. I can't believe they passed on him.

Spezza and Neal could put Nashville on the map. Oh, Jones, Josi,Weber and Rinne aren't bad themselves

Well Spezza obviously didn't want the draft last night, which in my opinion makes him dumb for no accepting a trade there right now.

At this point, I'd pull the trigger. Unfortunately, the reason were shopping him is that we're nowhere close on negotiations. He probably wants a decent raise which he most certainly doesn't deserve...yet. Vinny can't hurt us cap wise
