Sabres headed in right direction, but NHL sources say it's imperative they hire a new player development coach.


IMO, this is our biggest hurdle, and what will ultimately make or break this rebuild.

Ted Nolan is the worst part of the rebuild.

With all the picks today and free agency about to start, now is a good time to really bask in having selected the top forward on our draft board. We haven't had this chance since '87. It's huge for this organization. Now we just need another in 2015.

I don't mind one of Weiss or Franzen, and of course the 1st rounder is a necessity, not a second, but I need a young player back too. One of Pulkkinen, Tatar or Jurco, imo

Not Sabres fans, mostly people that hate his dad and assume that based on what he said he will be a carbon copy of his dad. Not even playing in the NHL and he's already hated.

July 1st will be a lot busier than most of you are hoping for. We have to get like 17 million in the cap just to get to the floor. You'd assume our own guys meaning Ennis and a few of the better RFA's and maybe Reinhart will fetch us 6 or so million total maybe? so that leaves us with 10 or 11 million left needed to spend.

Maybe we get a trade for a veteran but I'd be semi shocked if that happened now.
Moulson from everything I've heard and read is 70% going to be back. Not sure on years but lets say 5 and half million per year.. we will still need to sign a few more guys to pick up the remaining 5 or so million on the cap floor. I expect us to do that. Not too big of flashy guys but we will be getting some players who will contribute. No more Scott's or Sulzer's or Porters.

Haven't read all the pages on here so I haven't seen it but I don't know why people would be offended... He wanted to go in the first round and didn't which is understandable.. Is still happy to come here and will hopefully be a good to great player here.

Well Weiss is not good, but I don't see all the hate on Franzen. He's a second liner with a very low cap hit
