July 1st will be a lot busier than most of you are hoping for. We have to get like 17 million in the cap just to get to the floor. You'd assume our own guys meaning Ennis and a few of the better RFA's and maybe Reinhart will fetch us 6 or so million total maybe? so that leaves us with 10 or 11 million left needed to spend.

Maybe we get a trade for a veteran but I'd be semi shocked if that happened now.
Moulson from everything I've heard and read is 70% going to be back. Not sure on years but lets say 5 and half million per year.. we will still need to sign a few more guys to pick up the remaining 5 or so million on the cap floor. I expect us to do that. Not too big of flashy guys but we will be getting some players who will contribute. No more Scott's or Sulzer's or Porters.

I don't hate Nolan. While I don't think he's a long term solution I do think he will at least whip these kids into shape which is mostly what I want at this point. Losing be damned as long as they don't pick up bad habits from it.

Bet Ennis will look to what Hodgson got 4.25 and want a bit more.. so maybe we offer 4.5 and he asks for 5 and we settle at 4.7 or something. Foligino is for sure not worth that.

They will need more bodies for sure unless they plan on using guys like Larsson and Varrone up here full time.

Okay so do that for Christ Stewart then and save Tyler Myers for at least another year unless a team wants to do a REAL offer...

This is a make or break year for Myers for me and if he plays well it will be very rewarding to shove it down the Mike Schopp's of the worlds throats that Myers could still be decent.. If he plays inconsistent again then I'm fine trading him but unless we get a REAL offer for him its not worth the risk.

While Franzen is a good player, he's oft injured and getting up there in age. If Myers were traded to Detroit any deal would start with one of your kids in Tatar, Nyquist, Pulkkinen, etc.

Sabres got Reinhart. That is their superstar. I don't want to watch another season like last year.

McDavid might be Crosby, but he won't be Gtretzky. I can live with that. Crosby has one cup. And many players not named Crosby have more.
