I asked around earlier if he is mean or gritty. From what another poster said, he can have a mean streak if he is provoked. French said he is kinda like Malkin in that sense. Couldn't find any fights in his junior career but having Perron along side him couldn't hurt. I have become a huge fan of Perron's since his acquisition.

He might need to engage here and there. I think if he plays with Perron and Yak, and especially if Yak scores alot, there is going to be plenty after the whistle bullsh!t to deal with.....which is fine by me.

As long as the guys start sticking up for each other like Perron did, things will go better for them. That kind of stuff goes a long way in the dressing room.

it seems as though the players are really determined to turn the nhl into the nba with a few super teams and everybody else.
luckily the owners group has made stringent rules on entry level contracts and rfa status, salary cap etc.
we might suck and have to build through the draft as our only means of improvement.
but at least we arent forced into being nothing more than a farm team/stopover.

we need to really concentrate on throwing dollars at those quality 3rd liners that might actually come cause they cant refuse an extra million a year than theyd get in the desirable markets.
these guys can improve our depth and help us attempt to be competitive while giving our prospects another year of development.

im just praying to god that we can get to a level of true playoff status before hall, ebs, nuge start asking for trades...
