Calgary is doing the rebuild the right way, all character and grit. ensures a hard working team with poor results. which means high picks, this young talent then learns the hard style of play from the grinders and you end up with a skillfull team with lots of jam

I see no reason why they get worse. They already had nobody up front and were better than us. Last third of the season they were more than respectable. They handed out some losses to teams we couldnt touch.

I will say edm is sorta victim to circumstances as far as who was available when we were getting the firsts etc. But Monahan and bennett, along with the style theyre commited to, is a great start

I do wonder though, and this is mostly hope talking here, if UFA's get left a bit out in the cold this summer. Seems like a lot of decent depth players available and no/few contenders to sign with. The teams you mentioned will cash in for sure, but FFS there has to be somebody willing to come here aside from the bums you mentioned.

That's probably EDM's best bet. This year's version of Gilbert, Raymond, Hainsey, Santorelli, etc. Undervalued guys that you could sign for 1-2M

No sh!t....I wouldn't say high school were my best years....but partied every (frank)ing weekend and never worried about cash, even though I only made about $75 a week. Biggest regret about High School....all the cute grade 10 chicks my buddies talked me out of hooking up with because they were a whole 2 years younger than me. There a 3 that stick out.....how (frank)ing silly was I?

Yeah, if I could go back to high school, I would have been single the whole time and banged way more chicks than I did. Probably use a condom the whole time too....right HA? I did my share of drinking and drugs while I was there but I also did way more after I graduated too. If I have one thing of advice for a high school kid these days, its to stay in school as long as possible. That includes going to college afterwards because working for a living sucks.

Drink with people, you have a better chance of getting some ass that way. Smoke weed by yourself because you don't want to have to share that with people that don't pay.

Well you got to get good grades and get some college behind you if you want to get into media. Also, make sure you get involved in as much socially, as you'll need a bit of charm and charisma to make it in broadcasting. Going to parties and Hitting on chicks and developing game early will help with confidence and social skills in the long run as well.

Go to school for broadcasting and keep at playing hockey so you could maybe get a scholarship. The further you go in hockey, the more connections you make that could lead to that scouting job. Take coaching courses too, it's all about networking.
