Go to school for broadcasting and keep at playing hockey so you could maybe get a scholarship. The further you go in hockey, the more connections you make that could lead to that scouting job. Take coaching courses too, it's all about networking.

Well yeah, but I also made some valid points about going to parties and hitting on chicks. Those are skills needed in adult hood.

Well you got to get good grades and get some college behind you if you want to get into media. Also, make sure you get involved in as much socially, as you'll need a bit of charm and charisma to make it in broadcasting. Going to parties and Hitting on chicks and developing game early will help with confidence and social skills in the long run as well.

I got 80's in the majority of classes. All first semester 80's or above, second I had 2 80's and 1 70, and and one 50. (That was in civic and careers, where it was more about being social than actually working)

So my grades are decent and I am pretty social at school.

I definitely went through that phase when I was about your age. Then you realize how sh*tty being a scout would be. Start off at the bottom, driving 50 hours a week, eating rink hotdogs every night for dinner, making little money, and hockey becoming your job over something you love

grade 11 was the hardest year, grade 12 was easy sh*t and a ton of fun

study hard and don't take classes like drama over physics or calculus. Way more doors open

Exactly. I know a guy who is in his 40's and works for the Vancouver Giants. Get's paid zero and has to go to bantam games every night of the week.

if hockey's something that gets your mind off things you definitely shouldn't do something hockey related as a job. it'll just be something that stresses you out

Totally. I was more or less a bit of a burn-out.....I was 16 when the Grunge era hit and was already into punk and metal so that was just a natural fit for me, got into it before it exploded.....it was a fun time to be a teenager who wanted to smoke dope and drink beer and listen to tunes. It was cool to be bum too so I didn't need cash to impress flaky broads with my car or nice threads.

This was my first year playing hockey, I was 8th on my team in scoring I couldn't skate, but at the end I actually got pretty decent!

I play more of an agitator, I drew at least ten penalties while only taking two.
