perron is a little rat. sticky, chirpy and get under opponents skin. strong and willing for his size too.
combine that with his level of skill and he's a pain to play against.
his skillset is very unique on our roster.

All reasons to have at least one more of his type. I was a bit of a fan of his when he was with the Blues and have become a huge fan since he joined the Oilers.

Mean streaks can be good as long as it doesn't lead to stupid penalties.
- nated81

He had 46 penalty minutes in 128 junior games. I'm pretty sure he got like 50 at the WJC this year though lol

Yeah, still alive, still running on batteries. I would prefer a heart of someone that is my age (33) or younger. I was wondering, if I get an 18 year old's heart, can I still buy alcohol in Ontario or any other province with a drinking age of 19?

Has he had any fights in his junior career?

Yes, yes you can sir. If you get that 18 year olds face, like in that movie "Face-off", then you may have difficulties.

None that I can find. Kane Toews Hossa sharp don't fight and they still play gritty. Knowing the oilers luck with injuries probably for the best

No face transplant needed here, just a new heart please.

This is true. I would be happy if he turned out like any of those guys.

I'm working on it. I will have better luck when I get to the hospital since long term care seems to only be producing really old hearts that probably aren't any better than your LVAD

@RealKyper: Trade market prices remained extremely high through #NHL draft. # Sabres ask for Tyler Myers was 3 pièces including a 1st round pick.

You realize most goalies taken round 3-7 from the CHL have pretty sh*tty SV%s right? It was a 7th round pick. Low risk, low likelihood of success.

Recall Brossoit was drafted after an .887 season too

Yeah, I haven't had nay issues with the LVAD as of late. The power went out here one night while I was hooked up to the machine, so that was kinda scary.

Looks like a pretty soft draft as of now, but that's what happens when you have no 2nd or 3rd rounder. This Lagesson was ranked, I think 60th by Corey Pronman. Haven't really seen lower than 91 so he looks like a good pick.

Brossoit draft year: 13-12-2 .887

Bouchard draft year: 17-6-1 .887

This isn't a pick you get pissed over. It's a pretty damn typical pick, Matt

Yeah but you have to consider the fact that as a blogger, he more than likely just googled the player today, and has no clue about any pick outside of the first round.....outside of the top 10 more likely.

Only for a few minutes. It gives me enough power to put my batteries on. I have 4 sets of batteries so I could go up to 48-56 hours without power.

Well that sucks. Glad you got it switched over. The anxiety in that situation would be pretty severe I bet.

I agree that among D that Boychuk's salary gives some relief cap-wise, but would they get rid of him at age 30? Chara is getting long in the tooth and was not as effective as he was, but he's got a few years left on his deal. Sidenberg isn't the stud that Boychuk is and is 3 years older, so I think he might be more available, though that doesn't save much cap room.
Do the B's really want to re-up Iggy at the price he'll want? Iggy is slower now too and the Bruins need to get faster to compete for the Cup. If we can get Boychuk for say a prospect and a 3rd/4th rounder, he'd be a top D for us for a few years, so i'd like that.

TSN said they were talking to Iggy to get him back. He played well for them and it sounded like both wanted to make a deal work. That was before the cap was smaller. I only heard that Boychuk was the one they were talking about. Probably TSN again but maybe because he has more value. Boychuk is good and most likely would be our best dman this year but I like to think that we need better to compete. If we are trading assets to get him. I am just not sure how long he will be our best for. People might not agree but Petry still has room to develop and Schultz is 23 with only 122 GP. He has tons of potential. I would hope that we are shooting for a legitimate number 1 dman. Someone like Dion or Yandle who are both being shopped.

Yes, it was. It was the first time it happened. 5:30 in the morning and the alarm was going off. My wife jumped up and handed me batteries but didnt give me the battery holders to connect, so it took a few seconds longer than I was comfortable with. By the time I got my batteries on, the power came back on a few seconds later.

I like all the picks they made today. Goalies are a gamble but having another two young ones in the system is not a bad thing. The odds of anyone selected after round 3 making the NHL is not amazing. With that said I like who they picked last year and this year. I use to hate MacT and I am officially a fan of him as a GM.
