I like all the picks they made today. Goalies are a gamble but having another two young ones in the system is not a bad thing. The odds of anyone selected after round 3 making the NHL is not amazing. With that said I like who they picked last year and this year. I use to hate MacT and I am officially a fan of him as a GM.

I think it'd be a huge mistake to move gio unless he requests it. No support on the back end will slow the rebuild and throw the young d in over their heads in tough minutes.

You can dislike that they took another goalie, but having a low SV% is not something to worry about. Most 17/18YO goalies taken rounds 3-7 have pretty sh*tty SV%s, especially in the QMJHL.

The NHLPA would also not allow them to sign a contract at league minimum considering their talent level. The NHLPA is all about making the contracts a better comparable for future signings.
