We are down to 8 NTCs. Who is next to go? Burrows, Higgins or Hansen? |

I don't think so he had some magic with Vancouver beyond that he hasn't shown anywhere else really. He got a massive contract that he could only get in buffalo. His value is way down. - thundachunk
Teams are lining up as we speak. I am glad we are not going back down that road.
I bet he gets at least 5 mil again |

Something tells me we'll see him again guys. |

I'm thinking Higgins, possibly to the Islanders. It was his favorite team growing up and they need to perform this season with BUF holding their first round pick. |

Would be good as we've never been able to recuperate what he brought, especially on the PP, since he left but he won't be back. Doubt he'd even want to come back. |

I was thinking Islanders or Rangers with AV for a 4 th round pick |

Because we never went after a puck moving D. I would honestly rather play Subban than bring back that soft wussy |

Soft wussy? I'm not saying he was overtly physical but I wouldn't call him soft by any means. Anyway here's a guage of our PP production after Ehrhoff left, and no it's not easily replaced.

I like the idea of giving him a shot. Could be a right-handed pp shot... Play him with Hamhuis and I'm sure he'll be fine.

They'd be asking for a ransom, if he's even available. |

Tanev is not a 4 mil Dman yet. He may be after next contract but if that is what he is asking for now he will be part of a trade package to Edmonton Buff Ny or Wpg - VANTEL
Agree - I think a 2 year contract at 3.5 or 3.75 to prove he is worth it. |

I think that is so overblown.
How hard is it to figure out the Canucks PP. Go stand by the Sedin without the puck and if Edler brings it up the ice look out for the drop pass. How many GMs do you think figured that out.
You want a successful PP pass to the point , traffic to the net , bang in rebounds . Not rocket science.
We didn't have anyone that that could shoot with accuracy and Kesler was the only one that would battle in front of the net thus being the top goal getter this year.
Ehrhoff was given way too much credit |

There's obviously a lot of factors that go into a successful PP, but ours seemed to get really good after Ehrhoff arrived (the league's best in fact) to eventually one of the league's worst after he left without any other significant personnel changes. That's either a direct cause and effect or a monumental coincidence. |

By all accounts, Vey seems to be a solid playmaker. If Bo makes a case to stick with the team out of training camp as the 3C, I wonder if we shift Vey to the wing to play with Bonino and maybe Kassian on the 2nd line. Could work out well. |

Again way to much credit given to Ehrhoff. Sedins were hitting their prime as was Kesler Edler Bieksa Burrows Raymond .
Were had guys like Torres that other teams were fearing . We battled in front of the net .We then got old and injured . Ehroff just happened to be in the mix and was part of a dynamic group.
2012 Canucks had a lot of injuries and lost Torres and Ehrhoff. Ehrhoff did little with Buffalo and they had players like Vanek and Pommerville .
Canucks also lost secondary scoring in Hodgson. Raymond was out and we lost other parts of offense, so to hand Ehrhoff all the accolades is way over the top.
I would rather try and trade with Boston for a young guy like Krug |
