He did score 30 goals 60 points last year and still hits hard and fights. - VANTEL
Ya but it's not worth it to sign him for multiple years at that age. Besides, he's not winning a Cup in Vancouver so at his age, he's probably looking at that first and foremost. |

I think he would be a nice addition but speed is already a factor. I don't know how we play a north south game with that line. - thundachunk
I would go Iggy Hank before Iggy Daniel
Shink Hank Iggy first line might be fun |

I would give him 3 years. Seeing I don't see him dropping off next year. Might be a mistake but I would rather chance on him than Moulsen or Vanek |

Two years max then it's time for our kids to play. |

Guess I'm nowhere near as high on Vey as everyone else... - DrChristianTroy
I'm sceptical myself. Mainly due to the poor possession numbers. |

I agree about youth playing
Shink Hank Iggy
Daniel Bonino Kassian
3 youth 3 vets

In a North/South system with Desjardins as HC, I think so. Desjardins says he loves to coach youth & get them in there.
Shink will be a pre-vehicular manslaughter Dany Heatley. - DrChristianTroy
Heatley was way bigger/stronger though. Unless you mean style-wise? |

Where did all of this optimism suddenly come from? - A_SteamingLombardi
It is nice to see VANTEL so cheery about next year I think the draft revitalized a lot of fans. I'm still not quite ready to say I'm super optimistic about next year, especially if we go hard after mediocre FAs |

I think Shink is very far away from playing in the big league unless he managed to become a behemoth while he was recovering from surgery |

He has speed and skill, it is up to one of the best in the game to get him scoring opportunities. When Henrik is not looking for his brother I think he is great. |

Last years team sucked . It was not only the coaches fault. They have been free falling for two years. It needed change and they brought someone in and is making changes right away. It is hard not to be excited at someone who will do everything to win. |

I know a few people have mentioned on this board about getting Marchand from Boston. I just cant see him being welcomed in the dressing room due to the reasons we all know. |

If Burrows could play that role and get his scoring touch back there would be no need . |

Agreed. I think alot of players are going to have a bounce back year. I was one of many who felt that a coaching change was needed when Vigneault was let go. He was a great coach and still is. The room needed a new voice. Just wasnt expecting Torts. |

He also hasn't played a competitive game in close to a year. I just feel like that is a lot of pressure and expectation to put on a kid that young who didn't even have the benefit of playing at the WJCs |

Torts was a mistake. I have moved on . AV was a great regular season coach but could not get this group over the top. He would get outcoached.
It is and was a time for a change. We have to stop trying to roll out the same old crap year after year.
Hank when his brother was gone with the broken foot scored 29 goals that year. Last year when his brother was out , the line scored 8 goals in five games with Hank Burr and Jensen. The year where Laperierre and Burrows played with Hank when Danny was down also looked very good.
Hank is much more dominant when he isn't looking for his bother first IMO.
I hate the idea of a Sedin Sedin Burrows first line. Let's move on. |

He likes Trevor and Benning and the Sedins , where else will he go? Most top teams are capped out. Maybe NY |

How about this for a blockbuster trade. No need to swear now.
Bos. Tanev Edler Burrows
Van Krug Boychuck Marchand. - VANTEL
Would rather Eriksson than Marchand. |
