It was a clusterf*ck of a season with a multitude of distractions, a coach who was antithesis of what the Canucks required in terms of style/player-management and systems (oh, and not to mention Burrows was injured for the a large portion of the year)

In other words, this past year was an anomaly of the highest proportions. There is absolutely no way that we see the same sort of 'perfect storm' dynamics this upcoming year.

Not sure what you're talking about 1) Benning said he never offered Florida Shinkaruk, it was Garrison and the 6th 2) the Garrison trade got us exactly what we needed...cap space...a great young NHL ready prospect...and we got younger.
