Didn't know about Malone - that's too bad - he has a role in the current NHL and he did it well.

I don't really give a (frank) how old Cleary or Selanne are. You get them for the same reason you get Jagr, experience, winning and respect.

Ryan Malone is a washed up cokehead, currently facing drug charges in Florida -you know that, right? That's the whole reason Tampa exercised a buyout on him. Not exactly the guy I want mentoring the youth on any team.

Danny Cleary and Teemu Selanne have a combined age of damn near 100. Plus Selanne would easily have gotten 5 mill from the ducks again if he wanted to play.

I do think Stastny and Vrbata would be good veteran targets, though. Lord knows Buffalo has to spend some cash this season to reach the cap.

We take Cornel and Karabacek, which could be considered a reach... And passed on Dougherty (who I REALLY like) and McKeown... Two 1st round talents

I get what your saying, mainly about Barbashev.

I thought for sure a kid like that would have been great fit next to Grigorenko. Barbashev plays a Canadian two-way game, but still has the dynamic offensive skills to compliment a Grig-O.

I actually really wanted Demko too. You'd have to consider netting the top forward & goalie prospect a winning draft. And what a great prospect too, starting as a freshman at a NCAA hockey power house.




But you know what, if TM & Co. were just blown away by Lemieux's demeanor, drive, & pedigree... Who are we to really criticize? I could envision him cracking the fourth line by yr 3.

It looks to me likeMurray wants a strong Canadian flavor to his hockey club. IMO, that's a very smart, safe, & calculated sensibility.

Nope . He goes where he makes decent money and has a chance at a cup . He made big dough last contract . He is set . Wants that cup. He should stick in Colorado . They are were I hope we are in 3 to 4 years . About to have some nice runs at the cup.
