Not decrepit, but possibly in two to three years diminishing return. I would think the GMs in the larger markets are a little concerned about the projections of cap growth over the next couple of years may have been too aggressive. In two years, younger players like Voracek, Coots, Coburn, B. Schenn, and Raffl will probably need pay raises.

Its a lot to weigh especially if Ehrhoff is brought in and still having AMac and Streit on the roster also.

What can I say I'm Bogosian biased, I still if he can be elite and ultimately a bargain.

It's possible. But Ehrhoff is 31. He'd be 36 at end of a 5 year deal. Not decrepit

Certainly a possibility, then the need to resign a Coburn or L. Schenn is not a concern. Also, Pronger's contract is slowly winding down, which will make resigning Coots and B. Schenn a lot easier.

I've been very pleased to see the dedication the organization has adopted using high draft picks to address the blueline. I have absolutely zero issue with the Sanheim pick.

Sounds about right. Though everyone seems to be suggesting he'd replace Grossmann in the lineup. That leaves only Coburn and LSchenn as your physical presence.
