That's funny....I get we all want to drink the rebuild koolaid.. They don't have a top 6 forward in there system expcept Reinhardt. Tell me one prospect we have that is a legitimate top 6 on a team that would contend for the cup.....

I would certainly take a flier on him as long as no one expects him to be a top pairing guy. He's the right age to sign a long contract for hopefully not a ton of money. I just mentioned the blog so everyone has an idea of what they're looking at. Nisk and Orpik would be the guys I look to first. But now with an immediate top 4 hole.. who else but Niskanen..

Murray has been able to talk with UFA's for a bit now.
Ehrhoff is a shell of his former self not to mention the guy was half assing his play better than 50% of last season.
I would pretty much rest assured that Murray definitely has someone coming via free agency July 1st to fill the void left by the "Hoff".
Even on this team , the"Hoff" is not a big loss whatsoever but I do see your points about why we couldn't at least get a 2nd rounder or even a 3rd for him.
Murray's plan will soon come into focus.
And I would agree I think Myers needs to stay now.

I'd take a shot at him, I think he's more a 3-5 guy though, more so around 4-5. If the price is like a 3rd round pick..eh. Why not. One more year left, but I'm unsure if he can positively affect the top 4 for the next few years. He's also 32. I'd take a shot at a ton of guys. But 32+ especially with expiring contracts, I'd give up very little.

Look at the distractions Buffalo Had to deal with all of last season. almost your entire veteran core wanted out. Rolston's record in the beginning of last season was abysmal and Nolan will have more tools in the tool box. Girgensons won't be alone on offense and ennis, cody, stafford will take this team as their own. It will be better.

Obviously they are all question marks they are prospects right. All of them are still in the development stages in their careers. Grigs won`t work out for us but for another team he will. We just are not treating the kid right. It is sad really.

I agree. I think Murray has talked to some agents/players. Also some Gm's will be calling tomorrow I'm sure to ask if we can take on some salary. Teams like Phili and Chicago

Ehrhoff was being shopped hard, clearly. Myers, according to Murray's comments, was not.
