It's clear some of you guys follow the team more than you follow players.
Bonino is a great pickup and you guys are slamming him as 3rd line material.
That's the real head shaker. |

Bonino will be our 2nd line C, they have already said that. |

Have learned Zack Kassian's agent will not accept the #Canucks qualifying offer - he goes to camp essentially without a contract. - LeftCoaster
Which camp? Training camp? An agreement can still be reached before then. Unless there's another new CBA rule I'm unaware of. |

Arbitration is an option. I don't think it will go that far. A deal will get done. Who is his agent? |

Obviously they(kassian's camp) are not gonna accept 850/year, but giving him that offer allows the Canucks to retain his rights, I think he gets 2ish. Doubt he gets offer sheeted though. |

I don't see how he can demand more than 2+ per as a RFA. What exactly has he done statistically to earn that? |

Outside of statistics I can think of Gagner and Bolland. |

Agreed. Based on his body of work he should be earning 3rd line money, which would make sense at 2-2.5m. |

News 1130 Sports:
6 teams have called the agent for Tanner Glass - 4-5 teams for Willie Mitchell.
Dreger said he does not expect the Leafs to go beyond $25 million over five years, which he believes will not be enough to keep Bolland from the open market.
@ Both of these statements. |

As a UFA, sure. But he has very little leverage as an RFA. 2 Million max. Play hardball and motivate him to have a good year. |

If he gets offer sheeted for more than $1,682,194 we have the option of matching or declining and get compensation of a second rounder. If he gets OSed for $ 3,364,391 or more we can match or decline and get a 1st and 3rd. If he doesn't get an OS he continues to play under his old contract. |

Here's to hoping that Kass gets OSed by BUff for 3,364,391. Top 5 pick and we don't have to suck for it. |

Gonna be a busy day tomorrow for some teams. Montreal, Tampa and us. I wonder what caused the sudden push to get rid of gorges he was better than Markov. |
