If they give them reallly short term contracts it might be okay. Like 1 or 2 year deals. A stop gap until the kids are ready.
- Salient

Boston need to be really creative. They can be 10% over the cap until the start of the season which is 6.9 mil . Savards salary can come off the books LTIR only after the the season begins. They could bury a couple of RFAs that don't go on waivers once signed for a short period until they can put Savards 4.2 mil on LTIR.

They are ripe and could be screwed by offer sheet if someone wanted them. Like I said before Bennings history and Trevor asking for permission from a friend Nealy will not happen from Canucks ,but could happen from a team like the Oilers

This is true, I suppose they need to ensure no stone is left unturned. And as you point out, if the signing was for one year it might be a gamble worth taking. Frankly, though, I would rather go with Lack and find a quality back-up. It's not like there aren't any on the market.
- Zogg

I agree, I prefer sticking with Lack

I really don't like the idea of bringing in Miller, but, Lack needs a veteran guy like him to shoulder 30% of the load. If he comes in at a good price for no more than three years, I'm ok with that...although I won't like it.

We need a veteran goaltender though, Markstrom is not ready at all from what I've seen of him. Too many holes in his game for a big man.

- LeftCoaster

I completely agree with you. Will Markstrom have to pass waivers if we send him back down?

Oh man, it really is sad to see such an icon become a shadow of his former self.

Miller, Moulson, Cammy If there's a logjam of third liners then you're going to have one hell of a fourth line

I don't like Moulson or Cammy at all.

According to Botch, Benning has a history with Miller and says Bonino will be second line center

I liked Benning's work on the weekend, but really want to see some of the young guys get a chance. Maybe they're creating competition for third and forth liners. And goalies.

Does anyone know the stat of how many games we won when Kes was out of the lineup last year and how many we lost?

Apparently we won more games without him - as per Vantel I believe?

I think so but can't prove it.
