Pros and cons with that.... I think Lack's performance may have dipped a bit after Lu left, but so did the whole team's.

Would rather save money on goaltending to get more scoring. But I guess if you look at what Boston did with Rask, it wouldn't be surprising to see a vet come in.

Lack playe din 19 straight in a year with a compressed schedule... Torts just rode him till he was exhausted. It was absolutely horrendous. Should have given Markstrom the back to backs at least.

A good goalie is a good goalie, but I think miller's best days are behind him. He didn't exactly look spectacular in St. Louis and he still seems like a DB.

If its true, I think Tampa will have won that deal. In fact, I think Gagner will thrive in the new atmosphere, a winning team, and hopefully better quality ice-time with good quality players who are consistent

The guy is still quite young (although it seems like he's been in the league for ten years - he came into the NHL at 18/19. The guy has great skills but was just stagnating on the Oil. Again, I think he'll bounce back and be that 55-65 point guy who plays PP/PK and gets more icetime.

I agree. I think Purcell will also help the Oil with respect to adding another offensive element. All in all, one of those rare trades where I feel both teams did well (although personally I just feel Gagner is a little more versatile and skillful)

If him and Lack are splitting time and markstrom is holding the farm I don't have a problem with it but if he is the solid #1 I'm out. Those who think our back end is secure with just Lack sorry but Marky mark isn't ready backup or starter.
