Stastny must be gonzo. - Tomahawk
Maybe that, but I read multiple reports during the season that Patty Roy just wasn't a fan of Parenteau's game |

The guy the Flyers bought out to sign VL, has more value. Hilarious. - PLindbergh31
Feels weird to think about seeing Danny in an avalanche jersey. |

You can say that now. But going into FA there was no indication of Erhoff being a FA. We killed them for waiting on Suter and Weber and missing out on carle. Also Macdonld is 27 compared to Dan Boyle who is 35 and Erhoff is 32. - J35Bacher
So six years of a younger lesser player is better than 2 or 3 years of an older, better one? Especially when the Flyers have been stockpiling defensive prospects that should be ready to go in about 3 years? |

You wonder if he doesn't realize that he's basically a journeyman now and decides that retiring is a better option -- he's not on an over-35, is he? TLTL |

I love Danny, but he's not much of a replacement down the middle for Stastny. |

When the Flyers signed MacDonald, Erhoff was a Sabres on a long term deal with no indication of him being a FA. You can't just assume he was getting bought out. So if we waited to FA then you might not have gotten Macdonald or Erhoff. Remember he has to want to play in Philly too so it is not a given you get him. |

Hopefully he won't be horrible misused in Colorado. You can't play him on the 4th line. |

Nonsense. All we have to do is offer more than any other team. It's how we got Ryan Suter and Zach Parise. |

I wonder if one of our dman draft picks from last year will be packaged for something bigger with the 1rst pick being on another dman? |

You cant make this poop up - bigmookalookie
no more than you can make up frick and frack ending up on the kings in the same season from 2 different trades and then winning 2 cups in 3 years, the latter of which being some key cogs. |

Josh Gorges on the block. Any chance Montreal wants Vincent "Quebec" Lecavalier? You know, since the fan argue that they don't win because they don't have enough Frenchies on the club. |

You either sign one and balk at the other, or you make room for them. However it had to be done, you make room. |

Boyle was a pending UFA. So were Stralman, Nikitn, Hainsey, Markov, Fayne, Robidas, Tallinder, Niskanen and Morris. All of those guys are capable of providing similar levels of play to MacDonald. |

I see your point, but I do not think the amount of talent available in free agency should dictate how much I pay someone. We put ourselves in a bad spot by trading so much for him that we almost had to sign him. |

It's possible, but Hextall has said repeatedly he's not interested in that. |
