Still pissed that Havlat was in the penalty box for that whole fight session. - jak521
Yep. That whole thing made me lose all respect for Ottawa. |

Agreed. Maybe we can sign Recchi as a coach and he can punch Havlat in the jaw a la Chief on Roenick. - jmatchett383
He can double as team doctor |

Now, now. That conversation started with how horribly up against the cap we are. And then AMAC's deal got put on the disection table. - FlyersGrace

I hear there is this Johansen fellow on the CBJ they are having contract issues with. We overpay players. Send him our way!
- FlyersGrace
They should pay that man. |

Here is my hope tomorrow.
Vinny is moved to Dallas for picks
Leo Komarov signed for possible third, fourth line wing
TJ Brennan signed to two-way deal
Flyers sign some low risk/high reward type wing like Devon Setagutchi
Just some things I would like. |

I must say, capgeek is on top of things. Less than five minutes after Bob McKenzie said Briere was traded for Parenteau, they had already swapped them. |

Not sure where he fits with that team. They're very strong down the middle and Briere has shown to be highly unproductive on the wing. |

Duchene, ROR and Mac at center. I feel like they could have done better. Only a 1 year deal though, so it's not a big deal. |

They're losing Stastny. But still, that leaves him behind Duchesne and MacKinnon, I'd think. |

Nah. A straight salary dump would be more appealing than taking on Briere. |

Do you think that the period of talking to players before free agency happened so that more players would sign on July 1st during the all day coverage? The last thing I want is for the big free agents to wait a week, so that few teams offer contracts or trades to get their backup plans. |

Makes sense, but Briere is a decent playoff performer. It might be better to just scratch him until the playoffs. |

Players and agents have always talked with other teams before FA. How do you think deals like Briere's were signed so quickly? It was just something no one admitted to. It's like how agents pay collegiate players. Everyone knows its happening, but no one talks about it. |

Even without Stastney, their center depth is unbelievable. It just would have been wise to move Stastney for a Dman instead of letting him walk |

Briere your job is to paint the clubhouse, hold regular bonfire's at your new place, teach the kids to make smores and feel at home. Once that's done we'll see about slotting you into the play-offs.
EDIT: I'd be A-OK being team mom for 4M a yr. |

Yeah. Adding the timeframe I think was just a way to make it look better and not have all the tampering going on. |
