Duchene, ROR and Mac at center. I feel like they could have done better. Only a 1 year deal though, so it's not a big deal.
- PhillySportsGuy

Col Plays ROR and Mac on the wing though. Last season Duch and Stastny where top 2 Cs

Makes sense, but Briere is a decent playoff performer. It might be better to just scratch him until the playoffs.
- PhillySportsGuy

I like Briere a lot and was a fan of his. but i find it funny that he is in Colorado. I remember a big thing at the TDL when the Flyers had him was he didn't want to go anywhere because of his kids who are still in NJ. Teams did want him when Flyers had him and weren't going to make the playoffs.

He was also concussed at the TDL that year.

Aye, there's the rub. Had he been healthy I think he would have been traded versus bought out. But the world works differently.

Even without Stastney, their center depth is unbelievable. It just would have been wise to move Stastney for a Dman instead of letting him walk
- JAKEw1234

He gave them the best chance to win though. Sometimes, it's fine to let a player walk and use the money for something else. It sucks, but poop happens.

That's right. I thought there was one point where he could have getten moved. But forgot about that.

Briere your job is to paint the clubhouse, hold regular bonfire's at your new place, teach the kids to make smores and feel at home. Once that's done we'll see about slotting you into the play-offs.
EDIT: I'd be A-OK being team mom for 4M a yr.

Yeah. Adding the timeframe I think was just a way to make it look better and not have all the tampering going on.

Exactly. It was a smart move.

FWIW
•Bruce Garrison: Jason Spezza would accept a trade to Dallas

So here is my guess.

Spezza to Dallas
Statsny to the Blues
Brad Richards to Islanders
Vinny to Nashville as they miss on all others.

They can both play center though. They can always look to add one in FA too. They have the high end guys. They would be looking for a 3rd line type.

One of those players you think could help the team, but doesn't create a lot of excitement on acquiring. And really depends on the cost.

If we waive Rosehill, and Ott plays on the 4th line with Laughton that might not be a bad thing. He'd ground the kid and protect him.
I agree it's all about the price though.

EDIT: I'd probably rather see Ott than Rinaldo/Rosehill.

I'd be suprised if Ott would sign somewhere for a 4th line role.
