I still can't believe they gave up the 2015 1st rounder. Now you have to make the playoffs because if end up in the lottery and somehow get number 1 or 2 for Eichel or McDavid. What if Buffalo gets number one and then 2 because of the Islanders.

Maybe Peter Mueller. Low risk signing probably on 1 year prove it deal since he is trying to come back to NHL. Put up solid numbers in swiss league i think last year.

If we waive Rosehill, and Ott plays on the 4th line with Laughton that might not be a bad thing. He'd ground the kid and protect him.
I agree it's all about the price though.

EDIT: I'd probably rather see Ott than Rinaldo/Rosehill.

Me too. I think Boyle is going to be very expensive though. Moore is reportedly asking for under $2M. He's a good 4th liner who can play all over the bottom 6. He provides much needed speed to our lineup too. Boyle is a good player, but a slower moving guy.

I thought based on scouts you give up this years as it is supposed to be a little weaker in talen then next years. Plus if your in the lottery you want a chance at the top two.

Yep. Coach should have some input as to player acquisitions to the extent of players who fit his system, but it's the GM's job to acquire them in a productive manner. The coach just plays them.
