nah. if his last name wasnt manning, he isnt even the first overall in his draft year.
he CAN be a damn solid qb though. but he needs ideal situations set up around him.
if the boat is sinking, hes going down with it. - stayinthefnnet
I think Phillip Rivers is better than him, but he's been stuck with awful teams. |

Temperature has nothing to do with pH.

Well here's another thing...
The acidic side of the pH scale are the lower numbers....greater than zero but less than 7.... |

I wish we had an idea of what is expected to happen tomorrow to improve this team. For the first time in along time, I'm not feeling all that confident. |

Some of these rumors are even better than the 76ers offering 3, 10, 32 and Thad Young for 1. |

No, teams can't file UFA signings from other teams with the NHL office until noon tomorrow.
Free agency and Vinny's bonus payout and potential trade are mutually exclusive. |

eh.
given the current market, maybe.
given the pens salary structure, not likely.
if he wants that fourth year, as an older guy, he would need to take less for me to want to give him that fourth.
dupuis and kunitz both did. |

Homer was an above average GM, not great. I'm not going to discount two Conference Finals and a Stanley Cup Final. If he was in Nashville, he would probably be a minority owner of the team at this point. He liked to swing for the fences on pretty much every occasion when maybe going for the safer play was the better option.
I enjoyed his tenure because he certainly kept things interesting. Hexy has the opportunity to build this team into a lasting power if he can solve the cultivation of homegrown blueline talent and shy away from long multi-year extensions to players in their 30's in most situations, IMO. - ravishingone
Not sure Poile was ever playing with a full deck... whereas Homer had two aces up each sleeve and the fattest bank roll of anyone at the table... I think success is relative between the two.
I don't believe Homer was the most terrible GM in the league, but yeah, he had more than his fair share of (frank) ups, too. |

I still can't believe Dupuis has lasted thing long in Pittsburgh, even over James Neal. Heck, I can't believe Kunitz survived over Neal, regardless of whom he plays with. James Neal in my mind is simply better then both guys. |

Not really. Habs Traded Briere to Colorado for Parenteau, Jets re-signed Thorburn to a 3 year deal. |
