spezza still has a good few years left in him....he had an off year last season coming back from injury and seemed to take half the year to hit his stride and still put up 66 points.

no sense bashing the guys skill...he will instantly make whatever team that gets him a whole lot better...so obviously frustrating for sens fans with the return he will probably bring being way below what he should and is worth.

Any interest in Sobotka if the deal is player/prospect/pick? I know that many don't seem interested in Berglund. Any more interest in Sobotka?

He's untouchable for me. If Spezza was signed for closer to 6.5 for at least 2-3 years, maybe. I think Ritchie is too good to include in a deal for a player with only 1 year till UFA.

thats silly...kesler has had 1 season with 41 goals and nothing close since...spezza has had 34 goals 4 times in his carreer and over 30 goals a couple more times..also has 687 points in 686 career games...kesler has 393 points in 655 games...different players that bring different dynamics..but dont be dumb

I love Sobotka.

He is a little guy. Berglund has more offensive upside, but Sobotka is a competitor and will give it every single game. Great face-off guy, great defender/pk. Will still contribute on offense, but not going to light it up on the score-sheet.
