Meh, you guys are overblowing the Miller thing IMO. The facts are that the Sedin's are still our best players. If you get a good supporting cast and a goalie that can steal games you're still giving your team a chance at the holy grail. Also, it goes a long way in establishing credibility as a franchise and possibly attracting players in the future.

If the youth is only ready to play in 3 years, there will be some growing pains then and there will be another McDavid to draft.

I don't think Miller signing here is a terrible idea. Not my first choice, but I am not GM of the Canucks either. I am more worried about the term just because of Miller's history with contracts. He was paid A LOT of money prior to being bought out and even if he is aging it doesn't mean he says, "Sure I'll take a pay cut to not win a cup".

I am hoping for somewhere around 2-3 years @ 4.5mil per. In all honesty, if I was GM I would be more worried about making a better second line first though. 2nd worst GF next to Buffalo? That was the most vomit worthy stat imo.

We have some kids that want to play here and now all we need is them to score but I don't want to put everything behind that. At least one vet would be nice. Iggy would be the best but I highly doubt he signs here. I hope he does considering he scored 60 points last year and has played almost every game in the last 8 seasons. Man is a beast. His age doesn't scare me one bit unless they throw a big term at him but I doubt Benning is that dumb.

He's also flying the jet to Korea.

I think if we have the money it is ok to chase a few vet players. I want to still see Higgins moved out and another trade.

I want them to chase Bostons Krug Johnson or Smith.

What I don't want them to do is, sit and do nothing with 17 mil in their wallets.I don't want to go long term on Moulsen or Vanek.

Miller Lack tandem would be solid goaltending. Iggy to me is better than both Sedins IMO ,but let's leave that for another blog.
