He's also flying the jet to Korea.

Why even mention a forgone conclusion?

The real question is: Can Canada will gold without Corrado in the line up?

They won't even medal without him.

I think if we have the money it is ok to chase a few vet players. I want to still see Higgins moved out and another trade.

I want them to chase Bostons Krug Johnson or Smith.

What I don't want them to do is, sit and do nothing with 17 mil in their wallets.I don't want to go long term on Moulsen or Vanek.

Miller Lack tandem would be solid goaltending. Iggy to me is better than both Sedins IMO ,but let's leave that for another blog.

As long as they are short term contracts I'm quite okay with chasing a few vets. 2-3yr deals.

With 17m to spend and a team that's defined success for the coming season as making the playoffs, I think the odds of doing nothing are virtually 0%

I'd rather they go after Rory Fitzpatrick than Vanek.

Paul Stastny and the Avalanche were not able to get a deal done. He'll hit the market tomorrow. #tvasports

If I had to pick one of the expensive wingers, I guess I'd take Cammy. He's stepped up with some big goals in his career, but he's 32 years old so anything more than 2-3 years is gonna hurt you later IMO.

I'll be perfectly fine if they sign a few vets and character players in the short term, but if we're looking at 5 year terms, I think it's a huge mistake.

I don't think Benning is an NTC type of guy. Especially coming into this debacle.

True, but I'd be more inclined to go for Iggy. I like his overall game better and he brings a physical edge that Cammy can't offer. Plus I'd love to see the poop fit reactions from the Flames fans.

I'd be fine with IGGY for 2, but am going to be if we sign more for 2 years, any more than that!

I just see Cammy as having more speed, better suited for WD's system. We already have the Sedins who prefer more of a cycling game...I'm thinking more along the lines of finding a winger to ply with Bonino.

But I'd assume you guys are suggesting Iggy with the Twins?

Either way if neither worked out good trade deadline bait.
