Most here don't seem to like this signing. I would have run with Lack but Miller is still an improvement in goal. I don't like it nor do I hate it. I'm on the fence about this one and only time will tell if it will workout. Benning is putting his stamp on the team all be it an expensive stamp. On the bright side we still have room to make some signings.

I would have liked to have had Cammalleri ($5m is fine; 5 years is a little scary) and Ehrhoff ($4m for 1 year! Damn). NYR signed Dan Boyle to a good contract, too. Other than that, not much out there I care about. Let's see if we can get Iggy.

Honestly, who know what would have become of Lack as a starter for a whole season? He started strong and was looking very beatable towards the end of the season. Miller is a very capable goalie. He's not the icon he once was but he should win us more games than Lack would have, at least for the next 2 years. And Lack can shine as a back up, getting 20-30 starts. Seems like a good situation.
