Glass and AV reunited at last!
- Nucker101

For all the dissing those guys get, Glass and Rome are fine role players (though after some of the injuries he's had, I think Rome might be done in the NHL). Weise, too.

Yes, but generally you also don't get your first NHL start at 26. He was a late bloomer.

If it wasn't for the nmc in Millers contract, I would have guessed Benning would look at it in similar way as Rask in Boston who wasn't given the reins until a couple years ago after a long apprenticeship.

But I don't think you can put the cork back in the bottle, Lack doesn't want to be a backup after getting a taste, hoping for a move that will bring in scoring...

Would prefer Lack to Miller.

Miller makes the team better. Going into the season depending on Markstrom would have been the lottery pick approach. We don't even know if he can still play.
- micah555

Markstrom was like Bobby Trippe coming over from Florida. He was ruined. I would like to have seen what they could have done with a full off season working with Rollie, and working as an actual tandem rather than a starter and a backup.

That's why many of us were advocating for a reliable vet backup to start 25-30 games, not a starter to play 50+.

Not sure what the trade market is for goalies of Lack's experience but he does have a good cap hit. I doubt we could get more than a 3rd liner for him and we've got enough of those I think.

Iggy would be a great stop gap until the young guys are ready.

But he won't help us in our rebuild so why waste the money, go after someone like Reilly Smith

Does Boston need a backup? Lack's cap hit would be a perfect for a Marchand swap...

You don't need great goaltending when you've got tons of run support, think Chris Osgood, they had great forwards. Ducks have great forwards...we don't.
- LeftCoaster

Yeah, but they lost Bonino, Perrault, and Selanne, and only added Kesler so far.

Is Reilly Smith available? I have said many times here Trade for Krug or Smith , but that is a pipe dream. I have to go after players that are actually available

Griess is an awful goalie. I wouldn't want him on my team unless I had a Loungo-like starter in front of him and only needed him for 10-15 games. And even then, I'd want a team that can win games without the goalie doing much.

Jets could use a goalie as well. Riemer is also available so as usual it's a buyer's market for goalies. Yet we just overpaid.
