Does Boston need a backup? Lack's cap hit would be a perfect for a Marchand swap...

This is a big reason why I am not pissed at the Miller deal. We have an attractive trade chip.

But he won't help us in our rebuild so why waste the money, go after someone like Reilly Smith

I'd love to have Iggy play with Kassian to show him how it's done. Put Bonino in the middle and we've got a 2nd line.

Goalies rarely get back good value in trades.

Jets could use a goalie as well. Riemer is also available so as usual it's a buyer's market for goalies. Yet we just overpaid.

What does Miller have on Benning?

Would Iggy or Kassian play the off-wing? Both are natural RW's.

Still think Iggy goes elsewhere. He wants a cup.

Griess is an awful goalie. I wouldn't want him on my team unless I had a Loungo-like starter in front of him and only needed him for 10-15 games. And even then, I'd want a team that can win games without the goalie doing much.
- micah555

Dubnik could have a resurgence with the right group in front of him. He was getting annihilated with the group in front of him before. He needs a team that has had some winning experience.

If he signs elsewhere I think a nice trade would be for Louis Eriksson...bruins need the cap space, we have some. Benning has a good relationship with the Bs. Hansen or Higgins + a 4th or 5th

Can't give up on first rounders that quick. Especially players who scouts say have a high hockey IQ but just underperformed for a season.

We just got the top UFA goalie available for nothing but money. No talent lost, just some cap space. This is a decent move. Riemer is worst than Lack, so it's not even a consideration.

Can anybody provide a source on this NTC/NMC that some are claiming? Can't find it anywhere.

Just curious how people see the Spezza trade. Did Ottawa get more, less or equal value for Spezza compared to Kesler?

Spezza is a UFA next year, hard to compare the two? I'd say Benning got better value for sure.
