Miller has a career .915 save percentage(on good and bad teams). Lack had a .912 save percentage on a bad team as a first year starter. - Nucker101
Ya I don't want Miller but I don't want to go into the season with Lack & Markstrom. Sends a bad message to the players, they need a veteran backup, or trade Lack...which would be a stupid move on their part.
Lack 50 games, back the rest... |

Who do you want then? Is spending millions for a marginal upgrade in goal worth it? Or would you rather spend that for improved offense? Seems like a no-brainer to me.
I know it's tough to be confident with two young goalies, but the numbers suggest it makes way more sense to spend the money up front. |

Every muuutha(frank)in' game day bruh. Ordered a couple sizes big so it can fit over my WR gloves. Will be in a display case (beside my replica lombardi trophy) otherwise |

They've got 18 million dollars to spend, can't tell me they can't do both!! I'm not worried about Lack, it's Markstrom's numbers you need to post.
Brad Marchand for a 2nd round pick?
Edit: Markstrom 3.00 GAA 0.868 Sv% |

and you can subtract a million because either lack or markstrom won't be here. So, if they sign a vet for 3mill we really only use 2 or whatever. |

This has to be Benning's plan. He has to bring in another top6 either through trade or ufa.
Or else we are looking at:
Sedins Burrows
Jensen Bonino Kassian
Higgins Vey Matthias
Dorsett Richardson Hansen

Markstrom has the talent(draft pedigree) and AHL numbers that suggest upside. He didn't even have a goalie coach in FLA.
If you can get Marchand for a 2nd, that's a no-brainer IMO. Use the 5.5 or 6 million saves from a Miller deal on forwards. You can potentially sign to top 6 guys instead of one. |

I was just thinking about his 20 goals and the fact Boston is in tough with a cap crunch. Definitely a POS, but I don't care about that, if he's a good teamate he can be the biggest d!ck in the world to everyone else. |

I don't think it is possible to integrate him in the locker room due to the history between our vets and him.

Can markstrom be sent down to Utica before the start of the season without having to be put on waivers? |

I just don't want them starting the season with Markstrom as the backup, he's not ready!! Get a UFA tender for two years until Markstrom is ready. Lack is gonna be a great starter, he's just not there yet though, he needs help. |

I am ok with a short term contract for Miller..
As of right now, he might be a little better than Lack
A year or two from now... who knows.
One is on a path up and the other is on a path down. |

Lots of good back-up goalies available. Miller is definitely on his way down - not only that, he's embraced a bit of a 'me' attitude.
If we can get him for 2 years max at somewhere around 3-4 million I might be able to stomach, but the proposed deal of 16 million for 3 years just goes against all the promises of a youth movement. Not impressed at all |
