I'd rather overpay for something the team needs more.

In 3-5 yrs we wont have Miller, Lack, or Markstrom. When this team is ready to compete again we'll have Cloutier 2.0
- A_SteamingLombardi

Lack won't be here, I agree. Seems like the plan is Miller then Demko.

Dido
Edit: the guy who is about to have both hips operated on before leaving junior. Lack was the future, unless he steals the job from Miller he's gone.

Goalies are way too unpredictable, I'm sure there will be loads of options in 4 years.

Who did the Canucks miss out on today that would have wanted to come here and that would have been a good fit ?

If we still had Torts, AV or Gillis, it would be Lack's job to steal...

Benning - we want to make more moves might not be today, might be in the secondary market...

Hopefully that means picking up some cap compliance pieces from teams like the Bruins, Hawks, Kings, Flyers, and anyone else trying to maneuver around under the cap...

Boychuk, McQuaid, Marchand, etc... may all be available... Kelly most likely to go

Kevin Bieksa @BieksasEgo · 1h

Jensen, Shinkaruk, Vrbata, trade.

Not much left for the Canucks to do for a scoring winger.

It is not lost on the players that we need scoring,.

or is that a dummy account?

What do you think?
Who puts Ego in their own handle

Edit: Plus that's a huge overpayment, we're doing them a favour, Jensen alone would do it.

Have to be more consistent in the arguments. You are saying we need to spend more money on scoring.

I pointed out we are spending 18. 7 mil on our first line. They scored 35 goals last year and most fans here say that last year was a one off. Last night I seen comments that Sedins should be back up to 65 pts this year which would mean 65 goals plus Burrows comeback year around 15 to 20 . That adds up to 80 goals or so ,and that is what a first line should be around . That is an increase of 45 goals for our first line. So this point should be moot ,right?

Put Boninos 22 goals and Kassians 20 goals plus let's say 15 from the other winger that is around 47.

See scoring is not an issue

I never said it would happen , I am suggesting there is not a need to throw more money at scoring ,I am pointing out we need more bang for the money we are already throwing out, thus all the sarcasm signs at the end

Pass the San Miguel....

An awful lot went wrong last year, I will have a drink to an awful lot going right this year...

Too much optimism can be blamed on the drink.

No scoring left to throw money at not that I wouldve liked them to go after Vanek or Moulson

Again I am not advocating that things will be roses this year, I am merely pointing out we are already spending the money and now the players need to step up or be moved
