So on Patrick Kane....Anyone else think he's definitely coming here next year? I do. He knew the Hawks wouldn't pay 12 a yr so it made him look like he was ready to resign there and wouldn't be labeled the bad guy. I've heard from lots of people that know him that he's coming home.

I love Lazar for them and I think he could be a really really special 2C in this league...


I know some guys don't care a lot but in EVERY Be A GM Mode in NHL 14 that I have started... Lazar is IMMEDIATELY on the trade block for them.. I don't get it.

Regarding Pat Kaleta:

When Kaleta was sent down to the AHL, he was "done with the Sabres all together"

A gentleman's agreement was made between Darcy and the rest of the NHL not to pluck him from waivers in order to "teach him a lesson."

Kaleta generally despised Regeir and how he was running the franchise, even before he was sent down.

Kaleta, as well as other players, had little respect for Rolston

Once Lafontaine came in, he personally went to Kaleta's house and had a long discussion with him about his present and future. Basically told him that he should ride out the rest of the season in the AHL and was guaranteed to come back next year.

Once Murray was hired, they both went back to Kaleta's house and expressed to him that "you're the type of player we want on the back end. You'll be back next year."

Kaleta is "thrilled to see the new direction of the team [as of pre-deadline as well as pre-draft] and seems to firmly believe in Murray's long term plan." He's also very invigorated to return next year and to finally play for a cause.

He is a UFA right now too isn't he...
