The sad part. He was mailing it in and still our best dman several nights. It wasn't till late in the season when Myers stepped it up that this wasn't the case

We won't make the playoffs this year or next. After that it is open so I guess it depends on the age and contract of the vet

I wouldn't say his play was poor. But it wasn't up to the standard he can play at either. It was very visible that he was just out there going through the motions. He's a sound enough guy that it's enough to get him by without killing his stats and everything.

And yes, he was our best defenseman.

I'd be more concerned with prospects not wanting to be here, vets I can understand. Nearing the end of their career they probably want to win one before they finish up.

Agreed . Tim said in an interview Hoff pretty much coasted last season and wanted out.
We have been trying to trade him on here all season , but the cap fine was always in the way.

As good at Darcy was at winning trades he Was equally bad at losing contract extensions. Not many of them were very good and I can't think of one contract beyond 3 years that he was good at. I take that back the pommer contract was good. The Myers and hodgson contract are still in question.

Not yet. The stout is one of the most flavorful beers I've had.
