Would you take McDavid at 1 and entertain the idea of trading the 2nd pick overall for Patrick Kane if he gets his 8 year- $88 million contract? That would have to jump start our ascension by a season probably.

I'd entertain the idea. Neither scenario is a loss. McDavid/Kane and McDavid/Eichel sound great to me. Maybe even Eichel/Kane if he overtakes McDavid.
