I'm pretty sure the deal was just Hornqvist and Spaling, but if the 11th was included, I can see why Murray was pissed

True. Likely sather will keep brassard and zuccarellos deals closer to 4M. There could be some guys had for cheap. For example, if we sign jay mcclement and tj galiardi for a combined 3.5M, that gives us over 2M to carry extra healthy scratches. Its a tight squeeze but we're not in cap hell.

ya I know Spats, I was just hoping to see Murray make a run now - by now, I mean with this roster, with a few tweaks .... we are kinda close.

I get the 'go with youth' idea, I just think it will be a five year plan, and Murray might be gone. it'd be nice to see Phillips, Neil and Spezza get one more run together...

Colorado refuses to pay him above 6m. Blues could offer him 7m and he could easily take that over 7.5 or 8 somewhere like Edmonton. He's from St. Louis, chance to go to a contending team, etc. Just because he'll get crazy offers doesn't mean he'll take them. Leaving Colorado doesn't mean he will automatically go to the highest bidder.
