I think Timmonen's bonus is the only one which would hit us next season (not sure if anyone else has any bonuses with the Schenn re-sign). I could be wrong there. And I agree if we don't need to use it then we shouldn't. But we need that goalie so I think they are going to have to use the LTIR barring a trade.

I'd prefer them moving one of the bigger salaries out, using that created space to fill out the roster, and then go into the season under the limit... they can always put Pronger on LTIR during the season if they need to.

Using up his LTIR allotment during the summer would be grossly irresponsible.

One thing underrated and it showed. When our goalie was good with the puck it seemed to help our d. And the trapazoid is getting bigger this year I think. I wouldn't mind to goalies that can move the puck

Be reasonable. Pittsburgh are a guaranteed playoff team with two of the best players in the world, and he can confidently assume he'll score at least 50 points playing there. It's a special situation.
