I'd be alright with Rayzor again, TBH.
- johndewar

I agree because he would know his role. I'm not so sure Brodeur has accepted his yet and Mason doesn't need that.

Funny how many people cry when MJL removes emotion and argues with purely facts. The fact that he is devoid of all emotion only increases the emotion of his peers. It's really hilarious.
- steelydan

I don't really take him seriously to begin with. I think most people on here are like that.

Yep, and I doubt Umberger fills the top line winger. So we dropped Hartnell for cap relief later and a lesser player. I wasn't thrilled, but I do think if B Schenn or Read, even Vinny played on G's wing all season they'd put up at least Hartnell's #'s...
- FlyersGrace

True but Vinnie don't play wing, especially Left Wing.

Just take less penalties and cover the east west passes on the PK

sounds easy, right?

- Marc D

For a team that really isn't all that intimidating physically they take far too many. That's a by product of always chasing the play. I think we are moving in the right direction to fix that.

If you think it's emotionless then you are missing the point. In a truly sadistic way he finds emotional satisfaction in arguing over the internet with everyone. The guy should be on television on a political news channel.

Giggy. He wants to retire, prob take a 1 year deal. then we dont have to commit several years to a backup.

Be reasonable. Pittsburgh are a guaranteed playoff team with two of the best players in the world, and he can confidently assume he'll score at least 50 points playing there. It's a special situation.
- Feanor

I am being reasonable. When one poster said that he thought it would be cool if we could have gotten Ehrhoff for that contract another poster basically told him that it wouldnt have been the same because he took that contract just to play for that team... Nobody knows why exactly he settled for what he settled for... All that we ALL know is that he took a good bit of a cut to play for Pitt... Hell, Pitt might have been the only team that contacted him for all we know. Who knows.

Giguere is intriguing. I think he may preform better than emery, but I also think emery is a serviceable backup who is good in the room.
Thought i read giguere was contemplating retirement, i could be wrong about that

Hard to get a gauge on Hextall. I'm a fan of not overpaying for mediocrity (A Holmgren trademark). Having no flexibility to improve the team blows.
