Yeah I remember seeing flashes of promise with the Hawks. 7th overall pick. Haven't seen much of him lately because I believe he was injured. Maybe a change of scenery with a playoff contender would help.

Does it really matter? Anybody who watched the western conference playoffs, especially the Blackhawks Kings series, and thinks the Penguins or Flyers are even remotely close to being contenders is fooling themselves. The Flyers need impact players not the the 2nd level junk that's available in free agency these days and they can only be obtained thru the draft or thru trade.

Ehrhoff is a top pairing player. He's a legit #2 defenseman. Would have worked well with Coburn. Maybe they clear some cap space and take a shot at him next season.

If they can just move Vinnie and maybe sign B Boyle and re-sign Emery, I'd be totally alright with it.
