Canucks have 11 mil in space with 19 players I imaging Vey and Weber have been offered around 1 mil and Kassian around 3.5. If Tanev has been offered 3 that would leave 3 mil for a player. If he wants more he will have a new address - VANTEL
You think Kass will get that much? |

The remaining free agents are garbage. I'd rather just give one of the young guys a chance than bring in any of the remaining clowns - nucks_94

I think you are seriously undervaluing what Hansen brings - Zogg
Hitting the net one out of 10 on breakaways? I know he brings a lot more than dirt. If he would be willing to go to Winnipeg. Tanev, Hansen and a 2nd in 2015 for E Kane. Tanev gets paid, Hansen is closer to family, and a second rounder is pretty good for a guy who wants to come to Vancouver. Jets get 2 instant roster players that improve their team and a prospect. Its fair..ish. |

Probably the one where Derek Engellund, Clayton Stoner, Mason Raymond, Benoit Pouliot all got 3million +
Edit: sorry make that 2.9 for Engellund... |

Yea, if we're going after a top 6 player at this point then let it be through trade. We missed our chance on an actual impact player. I don't see how playing Radim Vrbata on the second line helps us in the now or the future more than playing Jensen
Edit:
I would have been cool with an Iggy, Stastny, or even Moulson signing if they wanted to improve the top 6 via FA. After that the players just aren't worth the money or the risk. With all that's left now I would be most comfortable with just signing Santorelli for 2 years - bezz44
I'd like Vrbata, and chances are he'd be much better than Jensen in his first full season but as he's one of the only decent options left, someone will overpay for him.

He is 33 and if they wanted a scorer they should have shelled out the bucks for one of the higher end guys. I would much rather see them trade for a player or just let a rookie compete for the spot |

The pancake parlors across Vancouver would rejoice. - AlexF
I get it Penner haha funny, but for a team that lacks size and scoring ability in the top 6 a guy like Penner at a decent salary ( whatever that is ) could benefit the Canucks.
If you are into advanced stats he is looking pretty good even though his traditional numbers were not great last year ( 67 GP, 14 G, 21 A). Of the UFA forwards available, he is 4th in QoC faced behind Stempniak, Legwand and Koivo, he is 6th in 5v5 points per 60 min, 7th in corsi relative and wasn't exactly sheltered with zone starts having 49 % offensive zone starts.
Is he a savior, probably not but give respect where it is due the guy inconsistent as he can be is low risk high reward guy at this stage of his career. |

I don't doubt his work ethic, but I just find it hard to believe he can jump into the NHL after a year of no hockey |

Agree the kid is a gem. Saw him score in the pre season last year, great hands. Hope his height isn't an issue. |
