Just until Benning does something great. Getting rid of Kesler was huge for me, but he hasn't done anything avatar worthy just yet. |

meh ehlers or virtanen. I am okay with him at #6. Dude is a freak physically, only 2months older than Jack Eichel and is already 210 lbs. If he grows an inch and is gaming at 225 or so, look out. Will be deadly flying down that wing. Local to boot. - anavar
I think he has some great attributes ( speed, shot , willingness to hit) but his size advantage in the WHL might be null in the NHL and him being local does absolutely nothing for me.
Who are some of the greatest Canucks?
Stan Smyl- albeta
Trevor Linden - alberta
Sedins- sweden
Bure- russia
Luongo- quebec
Naslund- sweden
Etc.....

I do actually love the AV's, loved when Lemieux and Sakic and Forsberg were running wild on the West. They won me some significant $ back in the day in my playoff pools. Bought be a new BBQ and everything! |

Sakic was my favourite player growing up. I related more to Bert as a heftier kid but I always wanted to be like Burnaby Joe
Edit: pulled out my old Avs jersey for the playoffs this year. It was like a t-shirt |

Benning has been proactive and decisive on every move. A huge A+ for me. I think if Tallon wasn't such a tard we could have had that #1 pick also. I bet Benning offered him a ton and he still wouldn't bite. I am not a huge fan of the Miller signing but he wanted Miller and he wentout and grabbed him.

My only concern is that I'm getting the Glen Sather feeling, that Benning / Linden / Desjardins are going out and getting players that they had past glory with. It's sorry of '94 Rangers all over again.
Then again

how could say null, assuming he is 6'2 or so and 225 (a totally realistic goal) with that speed and shot? Saying that size is null with that speed is just stupid. How many players fit that profile? |

A city's bankruptcy has nothing to do with a player's salary and Detroit has looked that way for decades. There's a shine that's starting to wear off on that organization. Not sure why. - AlexF

holy #$@#$ people still live in caves apparently? yah, and don't forget how Obama single-handedly took out Bin Ladin wearing his green lantern tights and then put Ladin's head on a pole and put it out on the White House front lawn (oh, also, Obama eats baby kittens and beats up seniors) - Zogg
the kittens and seniors I knew about, but not the green lantern tights... that's just messed up... |
