Jason Botchford @botchford
@curtisandrews they have zero interest in Kane. Negative interest. And I don't see this "they're doing everything to be 8th" narrative
If Botch is correct we can stop envisioning E Kane trade scenarios. - AlexF

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Steve Downie agrees to terms on one-year, $1M deal with PIT. #TSN - Gullzy
There goes that option. |

Options are dwindling. I wouldn't mind Legwand on a 1 year 2 schmil contract.
Edit. Kills penalties and scored around 50 points last year. |

I wouldn't make that deal if I were Boston. - AlexF
Right, they cant afford to sign Tanev. To get smith you would have to take Eriksson,
like Burke did, he took Lupul to get Gardiner. Thats how we should be using our cap space. |

Yeah
Find a team with their backs against the cap wall and take 1 of their crap contracts and 1 of their ready to play prospects for Jensen and a pick, can't send back salary. |

Eriksson and Smith was the return for Tyler Seguin just one year ago. What would you suggest as the offer to get those 2? |

Burke's a good GM man. Takes too much crap for his attitude. |

He had his MG moments as well.
That being said, he's nothing even close to Cliff Fletcher 2.0. He signed Jeff Finger to the absurd contract that no one could understand and traded Alex Steen and Carlo Colaiacovo for Lee Stempniak...Him and JFJ should be assistants for Garth Snow. |

The Fourth Period says Bruins shopping RHD Johnny Boychuck . I year left at 3.36 mil - VANTEL
Would love to see this. If he comes cheap it would open up a lot of possibly trade possibilities, plus the guy is a beast back there and a RHD which we need.

I was hoping he would slot into the top 6 and provide a little scoring... we trade Jensen and we need two finishers coming back
I would rather us trade a dman for scoring or some package with Lack...

Pre-breakout Tyler Seguin and pre-concussion Eriksson keep in mind. Also Rich Peverley was not exactly a throw-in at the time |

If we traded the rights to Dalpe or Schroeder... isn't Boychuk ufa after this season? Don't want to lose assets or picks for a 1 year d rental when we need scoring...
But hey, if it is all part of a bigger plan where we trade away a dman for scoring... |

Hence the 2.0
He was great the first time around, but a huge mistake the second. |

Jensen stays...he's gonna score 15 this year. - LeftCoaster
To be a fly on the wall and hear current roster evaluations and the game plan for the next few seasons.
It will take a while for me to accept the trade for Miller. Still trying to understand Benning. He has a plan or vision on how to build a team.
I am still not sure how much he knows first hand of the Canucks play last year and if he watched a lot of game tape.
I guess Benning just has more confidence with Miller than a "rookie". And I think if it was a different position, it may be different.
Anyway, with Jensen, I hope it isn't throwing the baby out with the bath water with the regime change. It would really highlight the failure in drafting (games played by Canuck draftee's ), ignoring the Horvat/Shink draft, of the previous regime. |
