Lack is gone this summer in some sort of package deal, which is completely ok with me if it brings an <25 forward.
- eternalcashflow

If that is the actual plan then i'm okay with it. If its not the plan than horrid move.

Makes sense considering (if I'm not mistaken?) Benning spoke of a 3-4 year plan. Lack is a touch too old at 26.

Count me in, I've always loved turnip soup, beets-on-a-stick, and all those sexy Vladivostok hotties - oh, and just a stone's throw away from Kazakhstan's red-light goat district

True, but is it too much to ask to have someone who can drive the net WITH the puck?

I like the deal. Miller will help us remain competitive while mentoring Lack and Markstrom.

Bottom line, Miller is still a world class goalie who can steal games. Last year was an off year, with a bunch of trade drama. New team, new start, I think he will be great for the Canucks.

Sounds familiar - does he tank in the playoffs too? Seemed like it last season.

I wouldn't say he tanked IMO you need more time to get to know your team as a goalie. Trade deadline goalie deals don't work IMO but I am sure someone here can come up with stats and proof against my statement. Goalies are a different breed it takes time to get to know your teams style of play and defenceman tendencies.

This is a tough signing. we now have $9.1 mill in goalies if you consider the retained Luo salary. That is way too much. He really should have been signed at $5mil instead of 6. Not a bad term but the salary is a bit too high. We still have 4 roster spots and $11.7 mil left right? Kassian, Tanev and Vey and Weber/sanotelli/ etc.

Curious case of Markstom right now. Will he be an NHL goalie or is he a back up at best. Big goalie but he probably needs to shipped out after we just drafter our next future goalie. Miller then Lack then Demko...at least on paper.

Lets hope that Horvat, Fox or a combo of youngling make the team.

damn, didn't even take that into consideration well, at least there are those promiscuous goats readily available. But yes, I'm going to have to rethink this whole thing. Sheneequa deserves that at least

Nice update, thank you for sharing. I wouldn't mind seeing Setoguchi or Vrbata on 1 yr deals.
